1. Duties of Editors
-
Fair Play: Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their academic merit without regard to race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.
-
Confidentiality: Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or the publisher.
-
Decision on Publication: Editors are responsible for deciding which articles will be published, based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the journal’s editorial policies.
-
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author’s explicit consent.
2. Duties of Reviewers
-
Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and may help authors improve their manuscripts.
-
Confidentiality: All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
-
Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively and supported with clear arguments. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
-
Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
-
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors or institutions connected to the papers.
3. Duties of Authors
